Hwang Jung Eum and Kim Yong Joon officially end 9-year relationship

Hwang Jung Eum, former member of girl group Sugar and currently an actress, has parted ways with SG Wannabe‘s Kim Yong Joon, after maintaining a 9-year relationship.

The couple started off their loving relationship in the fall of 2006 and they were the first real-life couple invited onto We Got Married in 2009, even releasing duets together. Many were envious of their long-lasting relationship.

According to entertainment officials, throughout the decade, the two broke up and got back together a few times but this time they have hardened their hearts to go on separate paths. Hwang Jung Eum has been busy with her acting schedule while Kim Yong Joon has been busy preparing for a group comeback with SG Wannabe, leading to them drifting apart.

Hwang Jung Eum’s agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, “The two of them broke up around the time MBC drama Kill Me Heal Me ended, which Hwang Jung Eum was starring in. Since they have been together for a long time, they have decided to cheer on each other’s future as friends.”

However, there have already been signs of a rocky relationship prior to that as Hwang Jung Eum revealed during the drama’s press conference that they were “not talking to each other because they fought recently. Now it seems like the time to say goodbye.”

During an interview in March, Hwang Jung Eum had revealed that she wanted to get married around 34 years old, which is three years from now. She also expressed wishes to work together with Ji Sung again after she got married.

In other news, SG Wannabe’s Lee Seok Hoon is planning to tie the knot this year.
