Along with the profiles, a video of the trainees was shared on YouTube…

And this is where the positive comments were seen. Under the video, netizens couldn’t stop praising just how beautiful the contestants were but how they all embodied “global.”

Yet, although many couldn’t stop praising the visuals and diversity of the new contestants, other netizens were skeptical of the concept of the show, mainly because of HYBE’s recent show R U Next?

While netizens have always loved the idea of more diverse idols in K-Pop, many pointed out that most of the global contestants have been eliminated from R U Next? Other netizens came to the show’s defense, emphasizing that it is a collaboration with Geffen Records for a global group, so it won’t have the same setup as Korean shows.

While it isn’t surprising that some fans are skeptical, more seem excited to see the talent of such a diverse pool of talent, all trained by HYBE for a year and with dreams of debuting.
