They were included with over 100 of the music industry’s leaders.

Billboard recently announced their list of 2021 International Power Players. The list highlights accomplished “industry leaders at over 100 companies who are driving the success of music business outside the U.S.” Billboard recognizes that music, its creators, and listeners are diverse.

Some 63% of the world’s music, by value, is consumed outside the United States, according to IFPI.

Among the list of over 100 industry leaders is HYBE‘s Chairman and CEO Bang Si Hyuk. This is his third time to be included on Billboard International Power Players. HYBE’s Global CEO Lenzo Yoon is also included. This is his first year to be recognized by Billboard.

Bang’s South Korean entertainment company HYBE (formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment), the home of BTS, announced in March that it’s acquiring Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings. The deal brings under common ownership K-pop groups BTS, TXT and Seventeen, and U.S. pop stars Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato, among others. Yoon moved to the United States last year to focus on his global CEO role and plans to bring HYBE’s successful business model to new markets.
