Recently, J-Hope announced his first tour since being discharged, and it involved several dates in America, along with Asia.

On January 22 (local time), the tickets were sold for membership only, and netizens started sharing the prices.

Netizens quickly blasted HYBE for the unreal costs that, combined with dynamic pricing, meant many were over five times the price of the Seoul tickets. Many claimed it was unreal to have prices so high during a time when there was a cost of living crisis, with many sharing that prices exceeded $1000 for some tickets.

Netizens also blasted HYBE for “underestimating” J-Hope and his popularity by choosing to book arenas rather than stadiums, leading to thousands of people missing out on the chance to see the idol perform live.

HYBE has been criticized in the past for the use of dynamic pricing and high costs, and it seems like that continues to be an issue.
