HyunA Hints At Her Controversial Marriage In Comeback Announcement

It has been just under a year since the last time HyunA returned with new music.

After a long break, the idol recently returned to Instagram, sporting a new piercing. Before that, there were few updates following her marriage to Yong Junhyung outside of one post featuring the two together.

Due to her husband’s connection to the Burning Sun scandal, public opinion of HyunA greatly shifted, resulting in the loss of many fans and allegedly being the reason for the cancellation of her US Tour.

Koreans Baffled By International Fans’ Treatment Of HyunA

Now, almost a year to the date, HyunA’s comeback has been announced.

The idol’s agency, AT AREA, first shared a teaser video featuring a woman with her back facing the camera. The video included dates, and many assumed that it was HyunA.

Two days later, this was confirmed along with the announcement of the comeback title, “Mrs. Nail.”

HyunA has long and detailed nails, which could point to the meaning of the track. The Korean title also translates to the nails used in building, and could represent herself as someone who has been “hammered.”  Regardless of that part of the title, the “Mrs.” seems to be a definite hint towards her newly married status.

“Mrs. Nail” will be released on April 30.
