I-dle’s Yuqi Hit With Scathing Backlash For “Ridiculous” Comments On Concert Tickets
I-DLE’s Yuqi (formerly known as (G)I-DLE) has come under fire after comments she made about concert ticket policies sparked outrage among fans.
During a recent appearance on Salon Drip 2, Yuqi and fellow member Minnie opened up about issues they face with their agency. In the interview, host Jang Do Yeon brought up that Minnie had spent around ₩10.0 million KRW (about $7,060 USD) of her own money to invite about 100 acquaintances to a concert.
Yuqi chimed in, expressing her frustrations with having to pay money for tickets to their own concerts.
When we perform in Thailand, all of Minnie’s family, friends, school seniors and juniors, and classmates gather in one place. It’s our concert, but we still have to buy the tickets with our own money, and I just don’t get that. To be precise, we only get four free tickets per person, and we have to pay for any extras ourselves.

While the comment may have been made casually, it quickly went viral on Korean online forum TheQoo, where a related post garnered over 65,000 views and more than 1,300 comments. The tone among netizens was overwhelmingly negative, with many calling out the idol for being out of touch with fans.
