Idol Admits To Being Assaulted By Music Show Camera Director
Fly to the Sky‘s Brian has revealed that he was physically assaulted by a music show camera director during his rookie days.
On January 5, a video starring Brian was uploaded to Super Junior Eunhyuk and Donghae‘s YouTube channel.

While watching footage from his rookie days, Brian suddenly revealed that he was assaulted by a camera director from a music show back then.
“There was a moment when I had to actual hold the camera and perform on stage. The camera director told me, ‘Brian, during the live broadcast, hold the camera and rap.’ But he didn’t pass this instruction on to his superior, who was also a camera director.”

He continued that although the director later apologized, it was not to him but his company.
“That day, my mom and dad were arriving from the U.S. As soon as the recording ended and I came down from the stage, the camera director grabbed me by the collar and hit me, yelling, ‘Hey, you bastard.’ I was completely shocked. I kept thinking, ‘Why is he hitting me? Why do I deserve this?’ It turned out he thought I had grabbed the camera on my own without permission. He did apologize later—but not to me. He apologized to SM.”
His fellow bandmate Hwanhee remarked that as a rookie, he could not help either.
Brian debuted in 1999 as part of Fly to the Sky alongside Hwanhee and received immense love for numerous hit songs such as “Sea of Love” and “Missing You.” He is currently active as a television personality and home shopping host, and continues to communicate with fans through YouTube.
