Idol Group’s Accounts Deleted Without Notice, Sparking Fear Of Disbandment

In 2024, SM Entertainment and ChosunTV‘s reality program Falling for a Trot-dol: Lovestruck Noonas showed the selection process for a new idol group.
The show showed the formation of MYTRO, who were said to be a trot idol group. MR.MR member and Mr. Trot 2 contestant Tey, actor Seo Woohyeok, SMROOKIES‘ Shohei, actor Jung Yoonjae, and former Mr. Trot 2 contestant Im Chaepyoung were all announced as members of the group.

Many were excited for the group as all members were adults, and it was the long-awaited return of Shohei, who had disappeared after an injury. MYTRO were initially scheduled to make their debut in the first quarter of 2025, and even appeared at SM Entertainment’s SMTOWN family concerts.

However, the debut did not occur, leaving fans waiting to hear from the group. On May 9, fans were shocked to discover MYTRO’s official accounts had been deleted from Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
The group is no longer listed on the artist list of Yamyam Entertainment, the company responsible for their management.
Fans have expressed shock over the sudden actions involving the group and are saddened over the possibilities.

Honestly? The Mytro situation is just another example of how SM plays with people’s dreams. It’s actually heartbreaking. They had potential, passion, and everything going for them. I feel so bad for the boys, especially Shohei. They didn’t deserve this. 😔 pic.twitter.com/I9vqUafhBD

I’m honestly so frustrated right now. They kept everyone waiting for MYTRO’s debut without a single clear explanation. Now suddenly all of MYTRO’s social media accounts are gone, and their name has completely remove from YamYam Entertainment’s website. What exactly is going on?

There has been no official word from either company on MYTRO’s status.
