Famous Korean Singer Posts Apology After Being Cleared Of Charges
Singer Im Chang Jung, who was previously investigated by the prosecution as a suspect in market manipulation, was cleared of charges last month.
He recently uploaded an apology letter to his fans on his personal Instagram.
“Hello, this is Im Chang Jung. First, I’d like to apologize to my fans and everyone who was hurt by my reckless judgment over the past year. Thanks to everyone’s love and support, I have been able to live my life as Im Chang Jung for the past 30 years.
I should have been more grateful for my precious name, which you all made special, but due to my reckless judgment, I have tainted it. I am devastated to have caused pain to everyone.
I always took pride in doing my best in everything I have done. I believed that if I challenged myself and worked hard, I would be able to share all this with my fans. I believed this was how to repay my love to you all.
However, as time passed, as I started training juniors and became a producer, artist Im Chang Jung and businessman Im Chang Jung became mixed. I didn’t realize my choices and decisions were very dangerous being in a position like that.
I am so upset and apologize about the past for using the precious name you gave me so easily, not being faithful to my job as an artist, and leaving regret to so many people.
There is no excuse for my ignorant judgment and choices. Even though there is no legal punishment, how can that cover my shameful actions. I will never forget all this and will reflect again and again as I live my life. Please continue to stand by me. I sincerely apologize to everyone.”
