“Inkigayo” MC Trio “Jjunijjun” Gives Their “Last Group Greeting,” Leaving Fans Emotional
Last March, three fresh faces were announced as the new MCs for SBS‘s Inkigayo after TREASURE‘s Jihoon, NCT‘s Sungchan, and IVE Yujin‘s contracts for their MC positions ended.
The new trio consisted of TXT‘s Yeonjun, actress Roh Jeong Eui, and actor Seo Bum June as they took over the MC positions and quickly charmed viewers, earning the affectionate nickname of “Jjunijjun.”
The three stars developed a close friendship and entertained viewers with their natural MC talents and adorable interactions.
They’ve also consistently shown how much they appreciate each other, warming the hearts of fans and adding to their onscreen chemistry.
Jjunijjun has reigned as the show’s MCs for the past year, but at times the members have missed filming due to their own schedules, including Yeonjun’s extended absence from the show due to TXT’s first world tour, ACT: LOVE SICK.
During the most recent Inkigayo filming, the trio announced it would be their final Jjunijjun greeting as Yeonjun was again preparing for a tour.
Yeonjun announced he would be back after the tour, but the statement that it would be their “last group greeting” has led many to believe that the beloved MC trio may not have renewed their contracts.

Yeonjun and Roh Jeong Eui both became emotional as they said their last lines of the episode and seemed to be holding back tears as Seo Bum June stepped in to finish the ending message.

The emotional goodbye had fans in their feels as well as they reacted to the sad moment while expressing gratitude for Jjunijjun’s time on the show together.
