ISIS attacks South Korean embassy in Libya leaving at least 2 dead
It has been reported that the South Korean embassy located in Libya has been attacked by Islamic militants, leaving two dead and one severely injured.
On April 12th, armed terrorists attacked the South Korean embassy in Tripoli by firing multiple gunshots at the building while driving by. While no Korean nationals are reported to be injured in the incident, two individuals, with at least one reported to be a security guard, have been killed.
Following the incident, a representative stated, “This incident was carried out by the IS force.” However, the official motive behind the shooting remains unknown. The Korean government is currently considering withdrawing all employees from the embassy for safety concerns.
