ITZY’s Ryujin Apologizes After Criticism For Recent Comments About Yuna
ITZY‘s Ryujin has had to apologize to member Yuna after her recent comments sparked criticism.
Recently, Ryujin and Yeji appeared on Minju’s Pink Cabinet with ILLIT‘s Minju.
During the video, Minju was asked about joining the iconic “JangKaSeolYu” combination, which includes IVE‘s Wonyoung, aespa‘s Karina, NMIXX‘s Sullyoon, and ITZY’s Yuna.
Minju quickly shut down the idea.
Ryujin pointed out that adding “Min” might be too long, joking that maybe Minju’s name should replace Yuna’s at the end.
While fans found it funny and knew it was a joke, netizens noticed that Ryujin was gaining criticism for her comments about “replacing” Yuna.

In particular, following the episode’s release, Ryujin made an apology online, adding that she believes “Yuna is the prettiest in the world.”

Netizens didn’t understand why Ryujin felt the need to apologize, explaining that they knew she was joking and that it was the production staff to blame for putting such a question in the script, with even Minju feeling uncomfortable.
