IU And Park Seo Joon Have Fans Swooning With Their Unexpected Chemistry Ahead Of Their Upcoming Film “Dream”
Two of the hottest stars in Korea have to be IU and Park Seo Joon! Between them, they have dominated the world of K-Pop and K-Dramas, and now they’re ready to release a Korean film with equally as much impact.
Throughout their careers, IU and Park Seo Joon have showcased their diversity. IU is a top K-Pop idol but has wowed as an actress, similarly, Park Seo Joon is a well-loved actor, but can sing and is a true variety star.
In the past, they had adorable interactions when they came together for a commercial that truly showcased their romantic and undeniable chemistry.
Well, it seems like the duo is reuniting with a very different dynamic.
In 2020, it was revealed that IU and Park Seo Joon would star in the film Dream together. While nobody had heard any news about the project, the past month has seen snippets get released, including posters, teasers, and videos of what to expect.
Recently, the first glimpse of IU and Park Seo Joon together was released and it seems like the chemistry fans can anticipate is truly unexpected.
The first few scenes of the new trailer showcase some background into the film as it is based around a professional footballer (Park Seo Joon), who becomes a coach and is eventually followed by a film director (IU) who is making a documentary.
While Park Seo Joon’s character tries to be natural with the cameras rolling, it doesn’t work…
And IU hilariously comes over to help!
She then radiates true sunshine as she tries to guide Park Seo Joon through the filming to create the best documentary possible.
Yet, the moment that has caught the attention of fans worldwide showcases the dynamic viewers can expect. While filming, Park Seo Joon puts up his middle finger at IU which is then reciprocated, showcasing a playful chemistry between the two stars.
While the poster intrigued fans, the clips had a much lighter and comedic tone. Some netizens joked that the quality looked like something from the 2000s, and others praised the comedic quality of the two top stars. Many couldn’t get over the chemistry between the two, showcasing the stars in a new light.

While fans are excited to see the duo together, in an interview ahead of the film’s release, IU also couldn’t stop gushing about working with Park Seo Joon, explaining how seamlessly filming went.
From the beginning until the end of filming, I felt his incredible concentration as he maintained the tension without fluctuating. I was impressed by how smoothly and quickly he took any direction from the director.
