It showcases a more mature side to the idol!

Even on stage, Jang Wonyoung looks like a true “Princess” with her elegance, and her looks on stage always complement the image she portrays.

Yet, while Jang Wonyoung has always been praised for her visuals, many fans have claimed that her style and looks have always stayed pretty consistent. While idols are known for dying their hair and going bold with their makeup styles, Wonyoung usually stays with a more classic look.

It meant that when Jang Wonyoung’s recent activities saw a change in her hair and makeup style, it was welcomed and gained praise from netizens.

On February 7, ELLE Korea posted a new video with Jang Wonyoung, and, along with her charming personality, netizens noticed something about the idol’s hair and makeup.

The first thing that stood out to many was Wonyoung’s hair. It usually falls straight and is a dark brown, but netizens loved the much lighter tone of color and the fact that it was now a much lighter brown. In contrast, her makeup was much darker than normal, giving her a more sophisticated and mature look.

In the YouTube comments and on Twitter, both Korean and international netizens couldn’t get enough of the new styling of Wonyoung.

For many, it was a welcome change from her usual look and proved she could do darker concepts that don’t just try to resemble a “Princess.”

If that wasn’t enough, the look was actually done for a photo shoot for the brand Miu Miu. The photos showed Wonyoung with the same darker makeup style that contrasted with the much lighter hair that hadn’t been seen Wonyoung.

Of course, Wonyoung’s usual style suits her perfectly as the fourth-generation “IT Girl,” but this new style is something netizens would love to see more of. As she matures and gets older, it would be nice to see her looks develop, and her recent styling was definitely going in the right direction.
