On July 12, the music video director for IVE’s “I AM,” Song Seung Hee, appeared on a radio show. During the show, the director thanked all the members but singled out Jang Wonyoung.

I am thankful for the members who followed (my direction). Especially Jang Wonyoung.

According to the director, while filming, Jang Wonyoung suffered an injury to her arm and was promptly sent to the emergency room. The director revealed that despite her fears of her not being able to film further, the idol, after receiving medical attention for two days, returned to the set.

I have never said this publicly, but while filming, Jang Wonyoung suffered an injury to her arm, which required seven stitches. I have never been so shocked on set. I thought she wouldn’t be able to film anymore, but after spending two days getting stitched up in the emergency room, she filmed her scenes. Even cooler was the fact that she never complained about her injuries. If I was her age, I would have definitely let it be known that I was injured.

The director continued praising the idol, stating that despite her injuries, Jang Wonyoung faithfully finished filming dance scenes in which she had to perform powerful choreography.

She was professional and didn’t let on that she was hurt and even monitored what was filmed. If it wasn’t for Jang Wonyoung, we wouldn’t have been able to film many of the scenes.

This isn’t the first time that Jang Wonyoung’s professionalism shined through. Last year, the idol received praise for her incredible performance despite suffering a knee injury.
