Considering just how unbothered Jessi is about netizens’ perceptions of her fashion, it isn’t surprising that she recently joined one of the hottest but most controversial trends in K-Pop: the Under-boob!
The “under-boob” is not a new concept to the fashion world, but it is one that hasn’t really been seen before in the K-Pop industry. Recently, however, there have been a few female idols wearing the trend, like BLACKPINK‘s Jennie, BIBI, and (G)I-DLE‘s Soyeon.
Jessi recently traveled to London, UK, to perform on the HipHop Day of the MIK Festival. As expected, the singer shined with her talent and charisma and had the fans cheering and singing along to every word.
Yet, it was her choice of fashion that really caught the attention of fans, especially when she posted images on her Instagram. In the post, she was wearing a white outfit that showcased her curves.
On closer look, it showed that Jessi was jumping on board the “under-boob” trend! Paired with cropped white combats, bright boots, and accessories, it was the perfect outfit for the outdoor event.
Many were surprised that it took so long for Jessi to join the trend, but she undoubtedly looked amazing in the outfit. Considering UK society is much less conservative, it was the perfect place to wear the outfit without possibly being criticized.
Jessi has never cared about what people think of her outfits. She even had the most savage reactions when it was shared that PSY (CEO of Jessi’s former agency P NATION) didn’t like her wearing clothes that were too revealing or sexy on stage.
For many, it was nice to finally see Jessi perform in London, and the fact that she could wear and say what she wants was even better. Jessi is never scared to wear whatever she likes, and the outfit truly showcased her body proportions and visuals.
