Jun Hyun Moo’s Medical Records Released Amid “Injection Auntie” Accusations
Broadcaster Jun Hyun Moo has released medical records regarding intravenous treatment in a vehicle, refuting related suspicions.
On the 23rd, Jun Hyun Moo’s agency SM C&C stated, “This matter concerns medical treatment performed about nine years ago, and the individual had to visit the hospital in person to obtain the records. We ask for your understanding regarding the delay in providing additional official statements following the initial one.”
Alongside this, they disclosed a copy of the 2016 medical records, the hospital’s income listing, and details on the disposal of medical waste. SM C&C emphasized, “It is verified that official medical consultations at the hospital took place on January 14, 20, and 26, 2016. The medical records accurately detail all essential treatment information including consultation dates and times, patient name, diagnosis, symptoms, and hospital name.”

Regarding the hospital income listing, they explained, “The official income amounts and payment records from the medical institution on the dates of treatment confirm that the procedures were legitimate and properly billed.” About medical waste disposal, they noted, “After the IV treatment on January 20, 2016, medical waste was returned upon a re-visit to the hospital on January 26, as previously instructed by medical staff.”
SM C&C further explained, “The treatment involved antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, and gastrointestinal medication for diagnoses such as pharyngitis, laryngitis, and gastroesophageal reflux. The IV treatment was part of supportive medical care. These documents show that Jun Hyun Moo’s medical treatment was a lawful continuation of care carried out under medical professionals’ judgment at a medical institution.” They added, “The current allegations are unfounded, and we will fully cooperate by providing relevant documents should authorities proceed with verification.”
Previously, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul had received a complaint requesting investigation into the medical institution and details of IV treatment administered in Jeon Hyun-mu’s vehicle. The investigation seeks to identify and question unknown individuals involved in providing the intravenous fluid treatment.
Jun Hyun Moo became embroiled in controversy after a photo aired in January 2016 on MBC’s “I Live Alone” showed him receiving IV fluids inside a car. His side responded, “At that time, Jun Hyun Moo’s throat condition was poor, and he was treated under a doctor’s care and prescription at the hospital. Due to a tight filming schedule, the doctor made a judgment to allow the IV treatment to be completed while moving, which was partially captured on the program. There was no personal summoning of medical personnel or any illegal medical procedures.”
