He also garnered a flood of divided reactions to his statements regarding his religion.

Host: What do you think love is?

Mark: Love is the reason we live. We can live and continue to live because of love. I’m really stuck on the idea of love these days, and I want to know more about it. In the Bible, if you condense everything that God wants, it’s to love God with all your heart and strength. That means I really need to know the genuine love that God is talking about. So, ultimately, it just made me think that love is the reason we can live and are living.

However, this garnered a mixed response online from fans, especially K-fans.

We love the idol, not the religion…all jokes aside, it was hard to watch. It might have been better if I had the same religion. Every time I got used to watching it, the topic would go back to religion, and when I thought it was over, they would return to it. Made me think, do they really have to talk so much about it? I did make it to the end, though. I hope there isn’t more content like this in the future.

Totally agree with the OP…why are they being criticized for it? If a non-religious person watched it until the end, doesn’t that mean they are respecting it? We can’t even have thoughts while watching it? What’s wrong with these Christians…

It was hard for me to watch because I know just how big of a role religion plays in his life. But from a non-religious perspective, it makes it look like everything he does is God’s will and that the fans’ support and Mark’s efforts come in second….. It makes me think, what am I supporting, then…

I don’t have a religion, but it’s really interesting to see people who are devout Christians. Mark was born into a religious household, and that religion became his way of life. If you support Mark, you wouldn’t criticize him for discussing his religion.

But if you love someone, don’t you want to respect them, even their religion? If they look the happiest when believing in that religion, I would be thankful to it for existing and making the person I love happy.
