Further proof that K-Pop is taking over the world.

As K-Pop’s global popularity continues to grow, so does its fan base, as proved by the nearly 70,000 K-Pop fans who attended KCON Japan this year.

According to CJ E&M organizers, a staggering 68,000 people gathered at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba over the course of the three-day event (April 13 to April 15).

KCON is an annual global event that invites fans to celebrate their love for K-Pop and Korean culture at various convention centers throughout the world.

Since the first-ever KCON, which took place in Irvine, California in 2012, more than 630,000 fans have attended KCON globally.

This year, KCON Japan featured 28 artists, including Wanna One, TWICE, Gugudan, Pentagon, GFriend, MOMOLAND, Seventeen, Stray Kids, and Monsta X.
