KCON will be expanding into Mexico for 2017, increasing the number of countries the mega-festival is held in to five.
KCON was founded in 2012 by Koreaboo in partnership with CJ E&M. It was the brainchild of Koreaboo’s co-founders, after two massively successful fan meetups held under the name, “SMTOWN Meetup”.
Since the launch, KCON has grown to see over 175,000 attendees worldwide in the United States, Japan, Saudi Arabia and France. Now, KCON will be expanding into Mexico for 2017.
Koreaboo has independently verified that KCON does in fact have plans to launch a “KCON MEXICO” brand under the flagship US brand.
No dates have been set for the concert, however, KCON has begun securing social media channels and domain registrations for the concert in Mexico.
