The Key Decision NCT’s Johnny Made For His 2022 Met Gala Look That Made It Truly Iconic
A new look behind-the-scenes of NCT Johnny‘s iconic appearance at the 2022 Met Gala shows that he made one key decision for his outfit, without which things just wouldn’t have been the same.
The most recent episode of Johnny’s YouTube series, Johnny’s Communication Center, gives fans a good look at the fitting process for Johnny’s black suit, which was designed by Peter Do. There were several variations of the outfit, including different kinds of shoes and different colors of shirt.
One of the first outfit options Johnny tried on was with no shirt, but with some classy high-heeled boots.
He wisely opted to go for smaller heels, seeing as he would be doing a lot of walking at the event (and a lot of stair-climbing).
He then tried on the outfit with a classic white shirt beneath the vest…
…as well with an elegant black one.
But when Peter Do asked him which shirt he preferred, Johnny did not hesitate to be honest. Putting his legendary fashion instincts to good use, he said, “Honestly, I kind of like the white…or just bare.” And, of course, he was right!
The designer and his team still insisted on bringing shirts with them to the event, just in case. But Johnny seemed pretty confident in his choice. There were, of course, some minor concerns that had to be taken care of…
…but it’s safe to say Johnny absolutely proved his status as NCT’s resident fashion king.
