Kim Soo Hyun Sued For Over $2 Million By Companies That Signed Him As A Model

Kim Soo Hyun has been sued for ₩30.0 billion KRW (about $20.9 million USD) by two companies who originally signed him as their advertisement model.

According to an exclusive report from YTN, Kim Soo Hyun has been sued by two unnamed companies who signed him as their advertisement model. The companies are seeking the repayment of the money they paid him to be their model as well as compensation for damages. The value of the lawsuit filed by the two companies came out to about ₩30.0 billion KRW (about $20.9 million USD).

YTN stated that there are likely to be more companies joining the lawsuit against Kim Soo Hyun, with a third company already considering terminating their contract with Kim Soo Hyun over loss of trust in him.

Kim Soo Hyun has signed advertisement model contracts with 15 brands, each valued between ₩1.00 billion KRW (about $696,000 USD) and ₩1.20 billion KRW (about $835,000 USD).

Usually, companies are reluctant to make it known that they were the first ones to file a lawsuit [against their model]. But once one company files a lawsuit, more can be expected to join later on.
