Actress Kim Tae Hee has reportedly sold her luxury residence in Hannam-dong for approximately ₩12.7 billion KRW (about $8.81 million USD), earning an estimated ₩8.50 billion KRW (about $5.90 million USD) in capital gains over seven years.

According to the real estate industry and records from the Supreme Court registry on February 24, 2026 (KST), the actress—married to K-Pop star RAIN—sold her unit at Hannam The Hill in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, in November of last year for about ₩12.8 billion KRW (about $8.86 million USD). The new buyer is reported to be Koo Ja Kwan, CEO of Samkoo I&C, who is widely known as the “Cleaning King.”

The actress had originally purchased the property in August 2018 for ₩4.23 billion KRW (about $2.93 million USD) in cash. Based on a simple calculation, Kim Tae Hee’s capital gain over seven years amounts to approximately ₩8.54 billion KRW (about $5.92 million USD).

Hannam The Hill is an ultra-luxury residential complex built in 2011 on the former Dankook University site in Hannam-dong. The complex consists of 32 buildings and 600 households. It is home to major business figures such as LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang Mo, comedian Lee Young Ja, soloist Park Hyo Shin, BTS member Jin, and actor So Ji Sub.
