Ko Young Wook to be discharged from prison in July after serving for sexually assaulting minors
Ko Young Wook, entertainer and former member of Roo’ra, is scheduled to be discharged from prison on July 10th.
The news surfaced that Ko Young Wook has 117 days left until his discharge day, which is July 10th. He has been patiently waiting for the date and caused no problems while serving his sentence.
According to a related personnel, “He has been visited by his families and close friends once in a while. He did not cause any problems during his imprisonment. If he does not cause any particular problems, he will be discharging on July 10th as scheduled.”
In 2013, the Supreme Court of Korea sentenced Ko Young Wook to two years and six months of imprisonment after being convicted of sexual assault against minors. After being discharged, his personal information will be made public for five additional years and his location will be known at all times for three additional years.
The case came into light after he was caught committing sexual assaults between July 2010 and February 2012. He has sexually assaulted three minors in four different occasions.
Ko Young Wook is currently serving his sentence at Anyang Prison in Seoul.
