Another Korean celebrity has gotten in trouble for not running their one-man agency appropriately.

It is reported that the Gyeonggi Yongin Dongbu Police Station referred her without detention on these charges on the 5th.

On the 12th, a representative of Kim Wan Sun told OSEN, “Although she was referred without detention, there was a grace period for registering the agency, and since the registration process has been completed, it is expected that there will be no issues.

Kim Wan Sun established a one-person agency named KWSunflower in 2020. However, she operated the agency for about five years without registering in the popular culture and arts planning business. This issue came to light amid a scandal involving unregistered one-person agency procedures by various stars, starting with Ok Ju Hyun.

In response, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism implemented a grace period for mass registration in the popular culture and arts planning business to encourage voluntary compliance. Kim Wan Sun reportedly completed the registration process in November last year.

Nonetheless, the Gyeonggi Yongin Dongbu Police Station recognized that Kim Wan Sun violated the Act on the Development of the Popular Culture and Arts Industry and referred her case without detention to the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office. Kim Wan Sun’s side stated that since the agency registration was completed within the grace period, it is unlikely to cause significant problems.

Kim Wan Sun debuted in 1986 and is celebrating her 40th anniversary this year.
