Korean Netizens Hit Back At BLACKPINK Lisa’s Fans After They Accuse Bong Joon Ho Of Racism

Lisa’s fans previously accused him of xenophobia.

Parasite director Bong Joon Ho recently sat down for The Puppy Interview with Buzzfeed. He was asked about his favorite K-Pop group, to which he named BLACKPINK and the members.

Issue arose when fans of Lisa claimed that he purposefully excluded Lisa when naming the members. They claimed he was xenophobic and racist.

Korean netizens leapt to defend Bong. They understood that fans were upset, but they retorted that given his old age, it was natural that he did not remember all the names.

  • The fans can be upset, but it should be fascinating even that an ahjussi can remember more than half of the members’ names. I bet he doesn’t even know their nationaltiy.
  • Huh? Making a mountain out of a molehill.
  • They’re going too far LOL. Why would he purposely leave her name out to be racist to the Thai?
  • Fans definitely have the right to feel weird about it, but I hope they realize most of our country’s people don’t have huge interest in idols. They really did him dirty.
  • Why do we have to be considerate of their grudges? It’s not like he really did it on purpose. They’re being such snowflakes.
