Korean Singer Falsely Accused Of Sexual Assault Shocks With Drastically Changed Appearance

Singer Kim Gun Mo has surprised many with his dramatically changed appearance.

The released photo shows Joo Young Hoon and his wife Lee Yoon Mi warmly with their arms around each other, alongside Kim Gun Mo. It appears that Joo and Lee met Kim Gun Mo in Cheongdam-dong while he is currently in the midst of a live tour.

In particular, Kim Gun Mo, who is only 58 years old, drew attention due to his rapidly aged appearance. Having returned to the public stage after leaving the music industry following a sexual assault accusation six years ago, the hardships he endured are clearly reflected in his look.

Kim Gun Mo was accused of sexual assault in 2019. At the time, a YouTube channel posted an exposé video based on a woman’s claim of sexual assault by Kim at a nightclub in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, sparking controversy. Kim’s side denied the allegations, calling them false and warned they would take legal action for defamation and spreading false information.

After an investigation, in 2021, the prosecution cleared Kim Gun Mo of all charges related to the sexual assault case. The accuser’s subsequent appeal was also dismissed, fully exonerating Kim of the accusations. However, at the time of the accusations, Kim had already registered his marriage with pianist Jang Ji Yeon and was about to hold their wedding but chose to divorce amid the controversy, causing sadness.
