A Korean YouTuber with 1.2 million subscribers has been booked by police for drunk driving after causing two separate crashes in one night.
According to TV Chosun, the Seoul Suseo Police Station is investigating a man in his 30s for violating the Road Traffic Act. He is accused of driving under the influence late at night on January 23 in Gangnam.
The incident reportedly took place in the parking lot of a lamb skewer restaurant. While attempting to move his car out of the lot, he hit another parked vehicle. As he tried to reverse, he crashed again — this time into a wall.
Police said he refused to take a breathalyzer test at the scene and instead requested a blood test. The results showed his blood alcohol concentration was high enough to have his driver’s license revoked.
During questioning, he claimed he had only consumed one glass of baijiu, a strong Chinese liquor. However, authorities are continuing to investigate the exact amount of alcohol he drank and the full details of the accident.
