As it is the very first of its kind, a variety-drama, many have begun to wonder in which award category does this popular 2015 drama belong in?
According to multiple broadcasting officials on November 12th, Producers has finally been classified to enter as a nominee for the KBS Drama Awards this year.
Though the television show focused on the occurrences behind a variety show and the team behind it, the basic framework was that of a drama.
Producers attracted and hit a high of 20% in ratings, starring IU, Kim Soo Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin and Cha Tae Hyun with the two latter taking on the role as senior PDs for a music show and variety show respectively while IU starred as Korea’s biggest solo singer and Kim Soo Hyun as a newbie PD.
