Mattel’s New “KPop Demon Hunters” Dolls Spark Concern

On November 6, Mattel dropped the first teaser image for their HUNTR/X dolls. On Instagram, @mattelcreations captioned the photo of these Rumi, Mira, and Zoey dolls, “It’s almost their moment.”

…they are also expressing their concerns. Some people are worried that the dolls won’t be affordable if they are “exclusive” collector’s items, especially for parents.


Others are asking Mattel to make pre-orders available for the dolls to keep scalpers from snapping them up and reselling them at a high price.


According to the official Mattel Creations website, the dolls can be pre-ordered starting in November. The dolls’ outfits, which have not been unveiled yet, are inspired by the costumes HUNTR/X wore during their last performance in the movie. The prices haven’t been announced yet.
