K-Pop Girl Group Recalls Dangerous Yet Hilarious Situation When Fire Broke Out At Their Dorm
A K-Pop girl group revealed an incident when a fire broke out at their dormitory.
On the 5th, CLASS:y’s official YouTube channel uploaded a video titled “CLASS:y’s 4th Anniversary Exposé: Members Reveal Each Other’s Secrets.” In the video, the members shared secrets and various stories they had never talked about before.

The most attention-grabbing story shared in the video was the incident of a fire in the dormitory. Jimin began, “When we first debuted, there was a fire at our dorm. This isn’t a funny story; it was a really dangerous situation.”

Seonyou said, “After school, we were sleeping at the dorm when suddenly I smelled something burning. But the smell didn’t seem normal. I opened my eyes, and everything was pitch black—I thought I had entered the afterlife. As I tried to gather myself, I realized the black smoke was ash. The bathroom was on fire.” She then alerted the other members in the dorm.

Hyeju recalled, “It was my first time seeing a fire; I filled a bowl with water from the sink and poured it on the fire after opening the bathroom door, but of course, the fire didn’t go out. Usually, when there’s smoke, people get up to check, but everyone was lying in bed. So I told them to evacuate.” She remembered that firefighters soon arrived and the members evacuated via the emergency stairs. Then Seonyou added with a laugh, “Before the fire started, we had ordered chicken. Since it was our debut period, we were worried if we got caught eating it, so we hid the chicken in the dishwasher, and after everything was resolved, we went to the emergency stairs to eat the chicken.”
CLASS:y debuted on May 5, 2022, with their first mini-album CLASS IS OVER.
