On April 25, Megan posted an Instagram update believed to be about basketball player Klay Thompson, whom she was dating. The update accused him of cheating and behaving erratically, despite her best attempts to appease him.

Later, TMZ confirmed that the two had broken up, fueling (justified) criticism of Thompson.

Megan’s love life has often been a topic of discussion, including her self-admitted sexual encounters with Tory Lanez. Tory Lanez is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence after he was convicted of three charges, including assault with a semiautomatic handgun after shooting Megan.

Many used the phrase “Free Tory” to support the male musician and express disbelief in Megan’s claims.

The phase “Free Tory” was alleged to have been copied during a fansign for LNGSHOT and given to member Woojin, who has demonstrated proof of being a fan of Tory Lanez. The idol held up a notebook with “Free Woojin” written inside after initially flipping past the message.

Some have called out the idol for acknowledging the alleged reference to a convicted criminal amid Megan’s break-up.

Fans of the idol claimed that the note was a reference to a photo Woojin took with a statue of the Harry Potter character Dobby, and that the photo is taken out of context.
