The Late Oh Yoanna’s Brother Outraged At MBC’s Behavior On First Anniversary Of Her Death

Recently, the late MBC weathercaster Oh Yoanna’s older brother expressed outrage at the MBC statement released on the first anniversary of her passing.

Her brother, Oh Sangmin, claimed the statement was “nothing more than a sham.” He argued, “It’s ridiculous speculation that my sister isn’t a worker. Of course, I think she is a worker. We have set work hours, and the work is repetitive. If that is not repetitive work, then what is?”

He was particularly furious at the fellow weathercasters who appeared on broadcast wearing black outfits.

He also mentioned their mother, who had been on a hunger strike for ten days.

“Of course, she is not in good health. MBC won’t listen to us, so if they have eyes, they’d at least see her. When my mother passed the fifth day of her hunger strike, she started to have a hard time. I heard that the MBC president visited the protest site.

Despite this, my mother insisted she would continue even if it meant dying. As a son, I don’t think this is right, but I didn’t stop her. She insisted, and her opinion is all that matters.”

Meanwhile, MBC released a statement on the first anniversary of her passing.

“We will abolish the freelance weathercaster system and introduce a weather and climate expert system, hiring them as full-time employees.

We have marked the first anniversary of Yoanna’s death. We offer our deepest condolences to her family. Further, if the parties to the civil law suit reach an agreement, MBC plans to disclose the findings of the Fact-Finding Committee.”

However, the statement was met with harsh protests from the bereaved family and civil groups.
