GRAMMY-Winner Laufey Responds To TXT’s Yeonjun

Fans hope they’ll meet this summer.

Fans are hopeful that K-Pop boy group TXT and Icelandic singer-songwriter, cellist, and record producer Laufey, whose album Bewitched won “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album” at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards, will collaborate.

Amidst the GRAMMYs hype, Laufey came across a post of TXT’s Yeonjun praising her. During a recent live broadcast, MOA asked him for song recommendations. He revealed that he is a fan of Laufey. Although they’re the same age, he is in awe of her musical talent.

Laufey will perform at the 2024 Seoul Jazz Festival, held Friday, May 31, 2024 – Sunday, Jun 2, 2024. It marks her first time performing in Korea, and Yeonjun hopes he can attend.

Laufey saw TXT Translations’ (MOA-run translation page for TXT content) post about Yeonjun talking about her during his live broadcast. She replied with teary-eyed emoji, indicating how touched she was by his kind words. She added, “lets hang in seoul!”

Now, fans are hopeful that the two might actually collaborate.

Yeonjun previously recommended Laufey’s song “Christmas Dreaming” in an interview with Weverse Magazine. At the time, she said she was honored.

A MOA reposted Laufey’s post to Weverse for Yeonjun to see. He was so excited and translated what she said from English to Korean for the Korean fans to know.

Hopefully, they will meet this summer!
