LE SSERAFIM’s Encore Stage On “Inkigayo” Earns Praise
A couple of days ago, LE SSERAFIM received a lot of criticism online for their vocal performance during the encore stage for their win with “Easy” on M Countdown. The intense, harsh comments led to a discussion on how fair it is to criticize K-Pop idols during encore stages, which were once fun interactions with fans but have now become notorious for being used to judge idols’ skills.

The criticism likely made the members of LE SSERAFIM even more self-conscious for any future encore stages they might go on to win, making what should be a celebratory occasion unnecessarily stressful. And “Easy” has gone on to win five awards at this time, with their most recent win happening on Inkigayo on Sunday.

This time, however, the comments towards LE SSERAFIM’s members and their abilities have been much more complimentary overall. While there are still some commenters being unnecessarily cruel and harsh, many fans are saying that they think the members performed much better for this encore stage in terms of their vocals.
