When it comes to being a K-Pop idol, artists are expected to be able to do it all, whether it’s singing, dancing, or looking good while doing it. One group that has recently caught the attention of fans after their recent debut is LE SSERAFIM who released their track “FEARLESS.”
All of the members have their own unique qualities and charms. In particular, the youngest member Eunchae has quickly gained attention for her visuals, charm, and talent.
In a recent interview with Weverse, Eunchae showcased that she shouldn’t be overlooked just because she is the maknae.
During the interview, Eunchae was asked about she reacted to the fact that she would finally be debuting in LE SSERAFIM. The idol explained that she’d been training for over a year and she was shocked.
I had been a trainee for maybe around half a year and in the practice studio as usual when I suddenly heard I was going to debut. I honestly thought I was dreaming. (laughs) I was thinking I would be able to debut around 2024 or so.
It was what happened after that shocked netizens. Eunchae revealed that when she found out she was debuting, the others had already mastered the track and choreography. Yet, she didn’t want to seem a burden and managed to catch up in what seemed like record time.
But the others already knew all the choreography and movements when I joined the group, so I felt a lot of pressure to succeed. So I started practicing in front of the mirror as soon as I got the “FEARLESS” choreography video and got it down in two hours.
As surprised as netizens were, it seems like the rest of LE SSERAFIM was just as shocked and wondered how she’d done it so quickly. Luckily for Eunchae, her life as a trainee helped with the task. It was also her determination not to be a burden to the members.
When I was a trainee and had a lot of choreography assignments, it took a few days for me to pick them up. I had no idea how I was going to manage it, but more than anything, I just didn’t want to be a burden on the other members. I guess I could do it because I thought I really had to do it.
Considering how difficult and intricate the choreography for the track is, it would even be tough for an experienced idol to learn it in such a short amount of time, never mind a trainee who is just 15-years-old.
It isn’t the first time Eunchae has showcased her professionalism. When filming the trailer for the group before they debuted, the members recorded their own sections, and Eunchae admitted how nervous she was.
But even though she was nervous, Eunchae was a true professional, taking time to review the dance with their choreographer before the shoot.
There have been a lot of conversations about the young age idols have been debuting. Yet, Eunchae has proved that if the idol has the right mindset and determination, age is just a number when it comes to shining on stage.
