LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura Opens Up About The Advice That Helped Her Gain Confidence In Her Performance
LE SSERAFIM‘s Sakura has impressed fans with her continued growth in her vocal talents and her performance as she continues to challenge herself to improve after 11 years as an idol.
Since Sakura first stood on stage as an idol in the Japanese pop group HKT48, she has been charming fans, catapulting herself to one of the group’s most popular members.
She has continued to push herself to grow and learn as an artist and has shown her strongest performance yet with LE SSERAFIM’s second mini-album, ANTIFRAGILE.
The group has been receiving praise for their anticipated first comeback. They’ve impressed fans with their strong rocker vocals in songs like “No Celestial” and flexed their songwriting capabilities in “Good Parts (When the Quality Is Bad but I Am),” “No Celestial,” and “Impurities.”
Their fast-paced choreography for their title track, ANTIFRAGILE, has also received praise from netizens, who found that the members’ moves were perfectly synchronized at any point in their dance practice video.
These challenging performances are what Sakura was hoping the group would tackle.

I’m definitely on a different level lately. When we were doing FEARLESS, I was focused on showing improvement, but with this album I’m slowly finding out what I’m kind of good at and what makes me look best when I’m dancing.
To pull off a strong concept, Sakura received advice from the performance director that drastically changed the way she viewed her performance,
The performance director told me, ‘Don’t try to act pretty—just enjoy the performance.’
