Like their other releases, LE SSERAFIM have already attracted attention for their concepts. This includes the initial concept film released at the start of the comeback schedule.

However, it seems that LE SSERAFIM have become the target of malicious editing intending to encourage hate comments.
On February 23, LE SSERAFIM released the “Tanned Guac” concept photos. The images embodied the HOT title and featured a sunburned concept, showing all the members in a desert setting.
This included a group photo that had an overlay of text, presumably lyrics, in a yellow color with stylized font.
These concept images were reposted on X with accusations of plagiarism. Specifically, a netizen claimed that the sunburnt image with words and the stylized text group photos copied imagery from American singer Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Espresso.”

While fans argued that the tanned outline concept has been done many times in a variety of different media, including the viral “Heat Stroke” photoshoot…
…fans quickly discovered that part of the allegations had been manufactured.
Specifically, the original image of Sabrina in the car did not have any text, which was seemingly added in an attempt to encourage hate against LE SSERAFIM.
Fans of LE SSERAFIM and Sabrina Carpenter called out the malicious editing in defense of the girl group.
