Man Admits To Murdering Ex-Girlfriend, Suddenly Denies Charges

A man in his thirties who murdered his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend has been taken into custody and brought to trial.

The Suwon District Prosecutor’s Office was revealed to have arrested and indicted a Mr. A on June 2 on charges of murder, special resident trespassing, and violation of the Stalking Crime Punishment Act.
Mr. A is accused of swinging a weapon and murdering his ex-girlfriend B and her boyfriend at an officetel in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province on May 4.
A is also accused of committing stalking crimes, including sending more than 200 text messages to B using four different phones about a month after B informed him of the breakup.

It was reported that A turned himself in on the day of the incident, but suddenly denied the crime during the investigation, stating that he had entered B’s home but did not commit murder.
Prosecution stated, “We held a crime victim support-related meeting with the Crime Victim Support Center and Psychological Treatment Counseling Center officials to discuss measures for the bereaved families. We will do our best to ensure that a strict sentence appropriate for the crime will be imposed.”
