Married HYBE Executive’s Involvement With Singer Found Dead In Drug-Filled “Love Nest” Resurfaces After ADOR CEO Announcement
It was reported on August 20, KST, that Lee Do Kyung, a top-level executive of HYBE, was appointed as the new CEO of ADOR. She will succeed CEO Kim Ju Young, who was given the position after former CEO Min Hee Jin stepped down in August last year.
This announcement comes amid the ongoing legal battle between NJZ (NewJeans) and ADOR/HYBE for the termination of their contracts. The group’s demands for Min Hee Jin to return to her position were part of their terms set before their self-announced departure from the company.

Amid the announcement of the new CEO, comparisons were made to another HYBE Executive regarding Min Hee Jin’s ousting.
In August 2023, it was reported that HYBE America COO David Bolno was a person of interest in a case involving the death of an aspiring singer. According to Business Insider, then-47-year-old Bolno financially backed 24-year-old Camila Sterling and helped her connect with top artists.
On March 30, the up-and-coming musician Camila Sterling arrived at a luxury Miami Beach hotel to meet Bolno just after midnight. The latter was spotted leaving at 4:30 a.m. to catch a flight home to his wife and two kids.
The following morning, Sterling was found dead in the hotel room bathroom. Inside the room, multiple baggies of a designer drug called “pink cocaine” — a mixture that includes caffeine and ketamine — were found, along with condoms.
Bolno was cleared of suspicions due to his early departure, as Sterling called for room service after he left. However, his involvement with the young singer was reportedly deeper than business.
Business Insider shared that Sterling referred to Bolno as her “boyfriend” in texts and voice memos and said he paid her more than $140,000 to rent a condo and allegedly created a music label for her. In interviews, Sterling also mentioned a person she could not name who helped her tremendously with her career.

- In the entertainment industry, almost all the visible work is done by women in their 20s and 30s, but the ones at the top are always these old men, and that alone is f*ing infuriating. Of course, that’s how the whole structure of Korea is, but in the entertainment industry it’s especially bad, lol.
