MBN News Reporter Lee Yeon Je Passes Away At Age 26

Her last Instagram post touches the hearts of many.

Lee Yeon Je, a reporter at the MBN (Maeil Broadcasting Network) news agency, recently passed away, and a wave of condolences is flooding her Instagram.

According to MBN, reporter Lee Yeon Je passed away on June 23 after not waking up from surgery to treat a chronic disease. She was 26 years old.

Lee Yeon Je’s last Instagram post from about a week before her passing touched the hearts of many. On June 17, Lee Yeon Je posted three pictures and a video of her reporting the news, along with a caption thanking everyone for helping her get through a time of ups and downs.

Born in 1996, Lee Yeon Je graduated from the Department of French Language and Literature at Korea University. In 2020, she was introduced to the world after being crowned Miss Korea Daegu. Since then she joined MBN last year and worked as an economic reporter in the Social Affairs Unit and hosted the MBN main news, News 7, and Economic Reporter M.
