Netizens are stunned.

ZEROBASEONE’s latest release has sparked major shock after the group recorded an extreme drop in first-day album sales.

The group’s new special album RE-FLOW, released on February 2, sold just 69,378 copies on its first day. The number stands in stark contrast to their past performance, especially considering ZEROBASEONE debuted as one of the strongest-selling 5th generation boy groups in 2023.

When the group debuted in July 2023 with YOUTH IN THE SHADE, they sold over 1.24 million copies. Their first comeback later that year, MELTING POINT, performed even better, reaching 1,458,089 copies, which remains their career peak.

Even subsequent releases consistently stayed above the one-million mark, with albums like NEVER SAY NEVER, BLUE PARADISE, and You Had Me At HELLO all surpassing one million sales. As recently as last year, CINEMA PARADISE still recorded a strong 870,206 copies.

Against this backdrop, RE-FLOW’s first-day sales falling below 70,000 have left many fans and netizens stunned.

Fans have pointed out that RE-FLOW is a limited album, sold with only one version, and reportedly sold out quickly across multiple sites. Many believe production numbers were capped early, preventing sales from reflecting actual demand. As this is expected to be ZEROBASEONE’s final release, frustrations have also been directed toward the company’s planning and distribution decisions.

Despite these explanations, many remain shocked that a group once considered a sales powerhouse is now struggling to reach even 100,000 copies on day one, regardless of release format.
