Mnet postpones M! Countdown’s “Summer Special” due to MERS scare
As the panic regarding the spread of MERS remains strong in South Korea, Mnet M! Countdown has put down necessary precautions on their upcoming recordings and schedules.
On June 9th, M! Countdown officials announced that the “Summer Special” scheduled at the Olympic Indoor Gymnasium, Seoul on June 18th has been moved to July 23rd. The move was done as a precautionary measure towards the recent spread of the disease.
They have also confirmed that they plan to hold their live broadcasts of the program as planned. However, hand sanitizers, thermometers, and other necessary precautions will be prepared in case of a crisis.
M! Countdown joins other programs who have announced their stance on the rapid spread of the disease. Music Core has already issued a notice to all artists, staff members and audience that a mask must be worn at all times while Off To School postponed their recent recording schedule due to the scare.
