MONSTA X Officially Cancels Seoul Concert Of Their “2020 MONSTA X World Tour” Due To COVID-19 Outbreak

They have cancelled the concert.

MONSTA X has announced the cancellation of the Seoul concerts of their 2020 world tour.

On April 6, Starship Entertainment uploaded a post on the group’s official Twitter account, where they made the announcement, in both Korean and English, that the Seoul concerts of MONSTA X’s “2020 World Tour” have been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

 

Hello, this is Starship Entertainment.

We regret to announce that the 2020 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR IN SEOUL originally scheduled to be held on May 9 (Saturday), May 10 at KSPO DOME has been cancelled due to the current global coronavirus  (COVID-19) outbreak.

At this time, it is impossible to predict the scale of the outbreak during the dates of the concert in May. In order to prevent further damage and to protect the health of fans, artists and staff members, we ask for your understanding that we have decided to cancel our concert in Seoul.

We sincerely apologise for bringing the cancellation notice to the fans who have been waiting for MONSTA X’s concert.

We plan to secure a new schedule fo the concert in Seoul by keeping an eye on the situation so that the concert can be held again after the situation is stabilised.

Additional decisions will be made on Starship Entertainment’s official SNS channel.

MONSTA X initially announced their 2020 World Tour in January. They stated it would begin in May in Seoul, and then continue on with the North American leg of the tour in June. As of now, there has been no announcement about the North American leg of their tour.
