NCT 127 Cancels North American Tour, Johnny Leaves Message For Fans

NCTzens had been a bit confused by the news, but Johnny cleared it all up.

For the month of June, the members of NCT 127 were ready to embark on their second North American tour Neo City : The Awards, hitting major cities such as Los Angeles and New York City.

They’d planned to perform new songs from their latest album Neo Zone along with the upcoming repackage Neo Zone: The Final Round. Due to the ongoing pandemic, that will no longer be the case.

Dream Maker Entertainment initially posted an announcement claiming an “indefinite postponement” of the entire North American tour due to “ongoing coronavirus concerns.” A list of all the dates that would be rescheduled followed.

They explained that the safety of the artists, staff, and fans were the main reason for the decision. The company also noted that refunds would be issued for everyone who purchased tickets.

Although fans found the whole statement confusing since the event was only supposed to be postponed, they received a definite answer from the dependable Johnny.

Through NCT 127’s twitter, he left a message for fans. Johnny did his best to reassure fans that everything was for the best and gave them hope for an even better concert next time.

NCTzens! I’m very sad to say that because of the current situation we will be having to cancel the North American tour. We know that you guys were looking forward to the new tour as much as us.

We’ll make sure to keep you guys smiling one way or another, and make sure that the next time we tour it’ll be the most magical. Thank you guys always, stay safe, stay healthy. We love you.

— Johnny

Even though NCTzens may not be able to see NCT 127 perform their songs live in-person, there is a bit of silver lining.

They’ll be the next SM Entertainment group to hold live concert through the Beyond Live series, having the chance to perform those new songs for fans.

While the cancelation saddened many fans, there will be plenty of opportunities in the future to see them on tour when everyone is safe, and the dust has settled.
