NCT 127 Taeyong’s Newest Hair Style Receives Mixed Reactions From Netizens
NCT 127‘s Taeyong is known for his impressive talent and visuals, regardless of what he wears or how he’s styled. Many fans even say he can make the most basic looks look high fashion.
After completing the latest leg of the NEO CITY: THE LINK tour, NCT 127 released their repackaged album, Ay-Yo, featuring a title track with the same name. While there were some complains about the group’s concept being underwhelming previously, several looks from the MV have attracted attention, including Taeyong’s.
In several parts of the music video, Taeyong can be seen wearing an all black puffer style outfit. The most noteworthy part of his look, however, is his hair, which was styled into sharp points.
Netizens have had mixed reactions to the look, with many comparing him to a style worn by TVXQ‘s Changmin when they group promoted “Tri-Angle” back in 2004.

Others have show appreciate for the unique style, saying that it reminds them of K-Pop in the early 2000’s and 2010’s, when first and second generation groups wore ecentric styling for their music videos and performances.
Taeyong himself seems to like the hair style, and posted several photos from the filming of the music video on Instagram. Fans have also pointed out that Taeyong is able to make everything look good, and that he is the perfect member to wear experimental looks.

The look may have been in part inspired by the work Jack Bridgland, a famous British photographer who has photographed Western celebrities like Rosalia and Robert Pattinson. Bridgeland seemed to enjoy the look as well, giving Taeyong’s post on Instagram a like.
