NCT's Doyoung Drastically Changes His Hair, But Fans Aren't Feeling It

On June 13 KST, a media outlet reported that NCT 127 would be making a comeback in mid-July. If true, this would be the sub-unit’s first summer release in seven years, since Cherry Bomb came out in June 2017. Also notable is that this album, which is set to be the group’s sixth full album, will be the first without leader Taeyong as he’s currently completing his military service.

And it seems like at least some of the members are already getting styling changes for the upcoming comeback.

Doyoung tends to usually be styled with dark, natural hair colors, with some exceptions throughout his K-Pop career. That’s why, when a photo was released that revealed him with silver-blond hair, some people initially thought it might be edited.

But it turns out to be real! Doyoung appeared at the airport with the platinum locks, revealing that he’d recently dyed his hair for the upcoming promotions for the group’s new album.

It’s not the first time that Doyoung has had a blond shade of hair, but it has been a long time, so it’s understandable that it would take fans by surprise.

However, it seems like not everyone is a fan. On a forum post about Doyoung’s new color, many of the comments agreed that he suits darker and more “natural” shades more than blond. Of course, it’s highly subjective, but there were quite a few people in that line of thought.
