Netizens Defend BLACKPINK’s Jennie From Baffling Allegations Stemming From The 2023 Met Gala
Netizens disproved baffling allegations claiming BLACKPINK‘s Jennie was ignored by the press at the 2023 Met Gala.
On May 7, a post went viral online. The post titled “Wow, Jennie Was Ignored?” claimed that the international superstar was ignored by the press at the 2023 Met Gala.
The post’s author uploaded a photo of Jennie standing by a model as “proof.” In the photo, Jennie can be seen standing on the Met Gala’s red carpet next to a model, while the photographers in the press box are seen focusing on the model.
While at first glance, the photos seem to back up the author’s claims, what the photo doesn’t tell you is that most red carpet events have specific sections where celebrities’ photos are taken and that celebrities have to wait their turn to have their photos taken.
Other photos from the night clearly debunk any allegations stating Jennie was anything but the main event on that night.
Netizens defended Jennie and ridiculed the post’s author for trying to spread a baseless rumor.
