On June 11, KST, Korea’s lottery operator, Donghaeng Lottery, shared the story of an individual who won the first prize in the 61st round of Speetto 2000 lottery. The individual, referred to as “Mr.A,” shared that he was a frequent lottery ticket buyer, but usually bought them in small amounts. Mr. A’s wife, who enjoyed buying Speetto tickets, bought them once or twice a month.

While the couple was out on a date, Mr. A’s wife scratched a Speetto 2000 ticket and it shockingly turned out to be the winning ticket. “She showed it to me in disbelief and asked if it was real. We were both overwhelmed and congratulated each other for making it through the hard times,” Mr. A revealed. The couple bagged a whopping ₩20.0 billion KRW (about $14.6 million USD) with this lottery win.

However, their story received significant attention because of the dream Mr. A’s wife had just before the win. In the dream, Byeon Woo Seok appeared with a radiating halo of light at a large event. He called her name, gave her a gift, and hugged her. “We believe he brought our family good luck,” Mr. A stated, thanking the actor.

As the story went viral, netizens responded with comments such as “Woo Soek-ah, I’m going to sleep now,” and “Please appear in my dream too.” Eventually, Byeon Woo Seok himself joined in the fun and left a comment under a social media post featuring the story, saying, “Everyone, wait for me.
