BTS Jin’s High Notes In New Album Spark Massive Debate
Recently, BTS returned with their long-awaited comeback and released their new album, ARIRANG. Since the release, they have been promoting both domestically and overseas and meeting with fans.

However, a recent Nate Pann post went viral, garnering over 28,000 views about Jin’s high notes.

“It’s a fact that the three vocal members, excluding Jungkook, all have pros and cons. However, regardless of their live performance skills, Jin has a very nasal tone, and since he sings with his raw voice (which is also very polarizing). It is often jarring during the high notes in the recorded tracks.
Jimin has a more fixed, moaning-like singing voice, so it actually serves as a stronger kick in the recorded version. V doesn’t really have any vocal skill; his singing style is just screaming, so it’s just funny.
Jin’s vocals are really a bit annoying. As a person, Jin seems the kindest, and his looks are my type, but his singing is too jarring.
I am not a toxic or anti-fan of BTS. I just listen to their songs because I like them, but whenever Jin’s high-notes comes on in ‘Body to Body’, it really breaks the flow of the song.
In the first verse, Jin sings ‘Somebody like you’ after Jungkook, but because of his raw nasal style, the high notes sound so strained. I know he handles his live performances well, but his singing style itself seems to struggle with the high notes. It doesn’t bother me much in songs like ‘Mic Drop’, but for songs with a high vocal range like ‘Body to Body’, I wish he didn’t do the high notes.”

Netizens felt they should stop posting about it online and take it up with the company instead.

- “It wasn’t fun listening to the track because the voices seemed mushed, but my ears perked up when I heard the Gwanghwamun live performance. You have to listen to it live to realize that the recording failed. That’s why I am looking forward to the concert.”
- “This about Jin again? BTS Jin is going to live a long time, seeing how so many people talk about him.”
- “Don’t write this here and take it up with the company. Why is everyone so interested in Jin?”
- “Ok, I get what you are saying, so why don’t you take this post down now. The album is already getting trashed, but you’re still complaining about the vocals? If you’re that interested, why don’t you go stream?”
- “I don’t agree with anything you are saying at all.”
